How to figure fairmarket value of truck?

bought a truck for 12,200..... nada retail value is 13,300...... where i live we have a lot of deer..... if I hit a deer and total the truck what can i expect insurance to give me..... they say they will give you fairmarket value but which price from nada or kbb is fair market?... the trade in value or retail value?
