I need Help Planning my trip to Las Vegas!?

Ok, so I booked a hotel at the west wing tower at MGM grand. But I really wanna stay at the grand tower now....if it's the SAME price, can I "exchange" (without having to unbook, and pay extra). I mean, "they" will be receiving the same amount of cash, so why can't I "exchange" if it's the same price?!
