Can I get an early check in at a hotel in Las Vegas, and if not can I use their amenities while I wait?

I'm staying at the MGM grand next weekend, check in time is 3pm, but I'm going to be there much earlier, probably around 10am. Will I be able to check in that early, and if not, will they let me use their amenities like the swimming pool while I wait for my room? Thanks
