Nevada Unemployment Question?

I was hired by MGM November 09 and in June 10 had to ask for medical leave for knee surgery. My leave was for six months. My doctor refused to allow me to go back as a GRA and wanted me to transfer to a different dept. so as not to re injure my knee. Employee relations told me to start applying for other departments before my medical leave was up. However, after many tries ,I only had two interviews and was not hired. I received a call from employee relations last week saying since I had not returned, I had to resign or face employee sanctions in front of a board for not coming back to work in the time frame. They told me I could never work at a MGM property again if I did not resign that day. I refused. I really wanted to return to work in a different department;I just did not want to crawl on my knee and had to have repeat surgery. If I am cut loose from them, Am I entitled to unemployment? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
